Below are the ways that we are assessing the community this summer:
1. Conduct Primary Research with community members (residents), stakeholders and institutional representatives, and youth.
Community Conversations (Click here to find more information.)
Survey research, including integration of social media. (Click here to read about and participate in the survey!)
One-on-One Interviews (Click here to find more information.)
2. Conduct Secondary Research (concurrent with primary research).
Conduct data analysis of indicators related to education, safety, economic self-sufficiency and health.
Conduct literature reviews of underlying barriers related to education, safety, economic self-sufficiency and health.
After we have finished conducting primary research using the above assessment tools:
3. Analyze Findings & Prioritize Goals
Frame community level goals and compare to findings from 2015. (Click here to find out more about the 2015 assessment.)
Conduct reality check circles with community members to test conclusions and established community level goals.
